I am a postdoc at Oregon State University where I am researching recreation ecology. I am working with Dr. Ashley D’Antonio and partners at the National Park Service to understand the impacts of recreation on wildlife habitat connectivity.
I have been very interested in how animals move and how the landscape around them influences that movement. I originally became interested in how farmland and various land covers impacts or shift wildlife movement and dispersal particularly for amphibian species. As I developed my dissertation research in this area, I shifted my focus to explore the movement ecology and behavior of amphibians and what factors affect their dispersal. I am very excited to apply this background in wildlife ecology to examine the intersection of human use of lands, landscape connectivity, and animal movement.
